This Epiphone J45 EC is a cutaway electro acoustic taken from the Inspired by Gibson acoustic range. With its all solid wood construction and iconic features you get access to one of the most famous guitars ever made with addition of a cutaway giving easier access to the upper frets.
First introduced in 1942, the classic Gibson J-45 is one of the most popular acoustic models within the Gibson range, and has been used by many legendary musicians since its introduction. Now, thanks to this Inspired by Gibson range, you can join the J-45 ranks with all of its iconic looks and tonal qualities.
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J45 EC features an all-solid wood construction, with solid mahogany back and sides topped with a solid sitka spruce top. Its cutaway body (a sloped shouldered dreadnought) is finished with an Aged Vintage Sunburst Gloss which is set off with the 4-ply top body binding, complete with a 1-ply binding on the rear.
Paired to the body is a mahogany neck, carved into a comfortable rounded C profile. Topping the neck is a fingerboard set with 20 medium jumbo frets and Mother of Pearl dot inlays.
The guitar comes complete with a Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys II preamp with Volume, Bass and Treble controls, Phase Switch, and a built-in tuner with LED display.
Other appointments include vintage style 3 on a plate tuners with ivory buttons, a tortoiseshell pickguard and a bone nut.
