The Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster presents an accurate take on the classic Strat model year. It features a period correct body, neck, and hardware, and hosts meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups to capture the essence of an iconic model in Fender's history.
During the late 50's and into the early 60s, Fender instruments flourished, with the Stratocaster leading the charge. This '61 year specific reissue features an Alder body finished with a Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer, capturing the tone, look and feel of the original. Married to the body is a comfortable medium "C" shaped maple neck with a 7.25" radius slab rosewood fingerboard set with 21 frets and vintage clay dot inlays.
The guitar comes loaded with a set of Pure Vintage '61 Stratocaster pickups wired through traditional master volume, tone 1 and tone 2 controls, and a 5-way pickup selector, giving you access to those much loved Strat tones, full authentic Fender vintage tone.
Other appointments include a a vintage-accurate synchronized tremolo with cold rolled steel block and bent steel saddles, single-line Fender Deluxe tuners and a 3-ply pickguard.
