The Fender American Vintage II 1963 Telecaster presents an accurate take on the model of '63. It features a period correct body, neck, and hardware, and hosts meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups to capture the essence of the iconic model in Fender's history.
In 1963 new Fender introduced new tonewood combinations, with its alder body paired with a rosewood fingerboard to give the Tele twang added focus and warmth. Married to the body is a comfortable "C" shaped maple neck with a 7.25" radius fingerboard set with 21 frets and clay dot inlays. Characteristic of production in 1963 is narrow spacing of 12th fret face-dot.
The guitar comes loaded with Pure Vintage '63 Telecaster pickups wired through traditional master volume and tone controls and a 3-way pickup selector, giving you access to those much loved Tele tones, full of classic twang, bite and authentic Fender vintage tone.
Other appointments include a 3-Saddle Tele bridge with threaded steel barrel saddles, Fender Deluxe tuners, a bone nut, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard.
