The Fender American Vintage II 1966 Jazzmaster presents an accurate take on the classic Fender alternative model. It features a period correct body, neck, and hardware, and hosts meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups to capture the essence of the iconic model in Fender's history.
On its original launch, the Jazzmaster was designed to tempt jazz guitarists into playing solid body electrics - the guitar failed to catch on with the jazz crowd, but instead was adopted by '60s surf, and later in its life by indie rockers, alternative and even country players.
The guitar features an Alder body finished with a Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer, capturing the tone, look and feel of the original. Married to the body is a comfortable "C" shaped bound maple neck with a 7.25" radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard set with 21 frets and pearloid block inlays.
The patented “floating” tremolo, adjustable bridge with threaded saddles and Pure Vintage ‘66 Jazzmaster pickups, wired to the signature rhythm and lead circuits, deliver classic tone and authentic Fender feel.
The guitar comes complete vintage style black hard case with orange interior.
