The Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline presents an accurate take of the semi-hollow guitar. It features a period correct body, neck, and hardware, and hosts a meticulously voiced pair of Wide Range humbucker pickups to capture the essence of the iconic model in Fender's history.
The souped-up second-generation Telecaster Thinline had its first full year of production in 1972, delivering a refined take on its original '68 launch. Staying period correct to its year, this '72 reisssue features a semi-hollow body crafted from ash which is married to a comfortable 1972 "C" shaped maple neck with a 7.25" radius maple fingerboard set with 21 frets and black dot inlays. Characteristic of production in 1963 is narrow spacing of 12th fret face-dot.
The guitar comes loaded with a pair of Wide Range humbucker pickups. To create authentic these Wide-Range pickups, Fender resurrected CuNiFe magnets, an essential element in recreating the sonics of the originals.
Other appointments include a convenient "Bullet" style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism, “F” stamped tuners, 6-saddle string-through body hardtail with bent steel saddles
The guitar comes complete vintage style black hard case with orange interior.
