The Story of "Greeny" is somewhat shrouded in mystery, but a few guitars are as illustrious.
The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic guitars out there. But there is one very special Les Paul- The "Greeny". This guitar has a story unlike no other. Previously owned by 'Peter Green'. This guitar was used throughout his time with Fleetwood Mac, Later sold on to 'Gary Moore' who used it for three decades with Thin Lizzy and as a solo artist. Now owned by Kirk Hammett, Greeny has passed through the hands of three legendary guitarists.

The Body
Boasting a solid mahogany body topped with a carved Triple AAA-figured maple top, which is finished with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that gives it the look and feel of a long-treasured musical companion. This combination allows the guitar to deliver a rich, full tone with bags of sustain and plenty of resonance, the essence of a classic Les Paul sound.
The Neck
The body is paired perfectly with a solid mahogany neck, which has been shaped into the rounded Vintage 50s profile and is topped with a 12" radius Indian rosewood fingerboard. The 24.75" scale, trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets, and 1.695" (43.05mm) nut width complete the traditional 50s era feel and look.
The Electronics
Gibson has fitted the "Greeny" with a pair of Greenybuckers both loaded with ALNiCo II magnets. with audio taper potentiometers and orange drop capacitors. Combined, this classic electronic setup gives you access to those vintage 50s Les Paul tones with plenty of warmth, clarity, and sustain, excelling whether played clean, in a bluesy crunch setup, or when pushed heavier into rock territory.
All secured beautifully in a Gibson hardshell case.
