The Gretsch Electromatic G5425 Jet Club Electric Guitar is a single cutaway from Gretsch's popular Electromatic Collection that offers up that unmistakable Gretsch sound without you having to blow your budget. This workhorse bass is bound to turn heads with its sharp looks and great tone no matter what the occasion!
This guitar is constructed with an arched maple top with a chambered basswood body. The retro styling touches such as the G-Arrow" knobs, the chrome hardware and the white pearloid pickguard complete Gretsch logo all come together to give this Jet Club guitar a real sense of identity.
The chosen neck for this electromatic is bolt-on and made using maple which is then married to a genuine Rosewood fingerboard. Rosewood is a choice tonewood for fingerboards due to its unfinished, natural feel as well as the rich tonal quality it brings to the overall sound. Sporting 22 medium jumbo frets and Gretsch's Neo-Classic thumbnail fingerboard inlays, this playing surface is both versatile for all kinds of playing styles and visually appealing too.
For the Jet Club Gretsch have selected a set of their own Gretsch dual-coil humbucker pickups which supply luscious tones in abundance with that potent Gretsch growl. Hooked up to a simple three way switch and a single set of knobs for tone and volume control, this is a no-nonsense players guitar.
An ever important feature of any Gretsch design is of course the hardware. For this guitar they have employed a high quality Adjusto-Matic bridge with a stop tailpiece to retain vital sustain and vibe, as well as a solid set of die-cast tuning machine heads.
