This Fender Special Edition Road Worn Hot Rod Tele in 3 Tone Sunburst is a limited run of only 165 guitars that both aesthetically and tonally captures that vintage appeal but with a more custom feel.

The classic single cutaway Telecaster body on this Road Worn Special is crafted using Ash instead of the traditional Alder construction. Ash is an choice tonewood that is naturally very light, this is great when it comes to reducing fatigue onstage and creates a very comfortable playing feel.

Married to the hand selected Ash body is a soft 'V' profile 25.5" scale Maple neck and fingerboard. With a beautiful aged look this neck offers enough room down the centre for the players thumb but with the perfect amount of 'V' for playing over the top with ease. This model even features Dunlop 6105 narrow jumbo frets to make the playing experience as smooth and high performance as possible.

The beating heart of this instrument really is the pickups. Much like a 72 custom Tele, this Road Worn Series Telecaster houses a single coil at the bridge and a humbucker at the neck, carefully selected by Fender with that 50's Tele bark and bite in mind. The models that made the cut on this limited run were Seymour Duncan's '59 Humbucker for the neck position and a Nocaster single coil for the bridge.
