The stunning Taylor 712CE Electro Acoustic, here in Western Brown Sunburst, is a Grand Concert bodied, cutaway model that pairs all solid Lutz Spruce with Indian Rosewood back and sides for warmth, midrange punch and an overall detailed dynamic range.
The 712ce is certainly a 'Lap friendly' electro-acoustic guitar thanks to it's smaller body and elegant curves. Not only does this mean that the playing experience is a more comfortable affair but it is well suited to fingerstyle playing because of it's desirable responsiveness and natural overtone curbing qualities. For those who like to use every inch of the fretboard, the Venetian cutaway of this guitar is known for its soft, round lines and gentle sloping peak, providing unrivalled comfort.
The tonewoods used for this particular model are approved by Bob Taylor as one of the true classic, great sounding wood pairings - A Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides. The top is in fact a hybrid of Sitka and White Spruce, called Lutz Spruce, which responds with projection, clarity and volume. The Indian rosewood selected for this unique model has been the prime choice of luthiers for decade after decade for it's balanced and versatile sound.
The 712ce features Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics system. At the heart of the system is Taylor's behind the saddle pickup, which features three uniquely placed pickup sensors that in conjunction Taylor's custom designed professional audio grade preamp conveys the voice of the acoustic guitar whilst capturing more of the guitar's dynamic properties. Controls couldn't be simpler - volume, bass and treble.
Home, stage or studio, the Taylor 712ce is a premium electro acoustic guitar that will deliver and reward in any musical environment.

Lovely guitar. I have other Taylors so I have to admit my liking of them but this is the best I have had. Beautiful action, it is hard to imagine an easier guitar to play. Slightly shorter scale seems to reduce the string tension a little and certainly the overall effect is very noticeable. It is concert size so not as powerful as a dreadnaught but not by much. Great tone spread across all strings with a more balanced, less bright sound than you would get from larger guitars. Fabulous for finger style guitar. Wonderful sustain across all strings I cant really say enough good things about this guitar. You dont always quite see the value in paying 2.5k for a guitar rather than 1-1.5k range but I have to say I did here. Love it.
