NAMM 2017 - New Releases

Check out some of the most exciting products launched at this year's NAMM 2017 Music Trade Show.

NAMM is the annual music trade show held in Annaheim, California. Every year leading manufacturers show off their range and launch a host of new and exciting products. Here is a run down of some of the most exciting new gear from this year's show.

Fender

Although launched a little earlier than NAMM 2017, the Fender American Professional Series got is official launch at this year's show. Superseding the industry standard American Standard range, the American Pro models delivers a host of welcome tweaks, models and colours options

Other new additions to the Fender range include the final pieces in the Paramount Mahogany Series of acoustics - the Paramount PM2 Mahogany and Paramount PM3 Mahogany join the previously released Paramount PM1 Mahogany. 

 

Squier

Hot off the back of the hugely popular Fender Offset Series earlier in the year, Fender have treated the Squier range to a selection of new 'alternative' models to appeal to those that want to stand out from the crowd. Models include Mustangs, Jazzmasters and a Jazzmaster Baritone!

 

VOX

VOX's new portable MV50 series is a range of 3 amp heads - CLEAN, AC and ROCK, that deliver tube like tone (thanks to the new NuTube technology) across 50 watts of power. All heads are also available as a package with the BC108 compact cabinet. For VOX fans this could be your perfect compact rig!

 

Roland

For those that like to record Roland have released the new GO:MIXER, a versatile little unit that'll enable you to get the best possible sound into your smartphone recordings and a new range of USB Audio Interfaces named Rubix. There are 3 models in the Rubix range, each delivering some great features and appointments making superb value units

BOSS

2017 sees the year that BOSS commemorate 40 years in the industry...quite a milestone! In view of this they have just released a special 40th Anniversary, limited edition of the legendary BOSS DS-1.

In addition they have just announced two new acoustic amps - the BOSS Acoustic Singer Live and its bigger brother the Acoustic Singer Pro. Each map features dedicated guitar and vocal channels with features including Acoustic Resonance, looping, automatic vocal harmonies, effects, and much more!

 

Taylor 

Taylor have tweaked a selection of models including the 100 and 200 series models with new layered walnut and layered koa back and sides respectively. In addition, they have added a couple of new items to the ever popular GS Mini Family - a new guitar in the form of the GS Mini-e Walnut and suprisingly a bass, the GS Mini-e Bass.

Taylor have also launched a new affordable range in the form of the Academy Series.

 

Orange

Orange have released a pair of combos in the form of the Rocker 15 and Rocker 32 (both are available in the traditional Orange and alternative Black finish). These all valve amps feature two channels and selectable output volumes making them ideal for home, studio and stage.

 

Ashdown

2017 see Ashdown celebrating their 20th anniversary and to commemorate they are set to release a selection of limited edition models. Ashdown have also launched some very exciting new lines including the Funk Face Stuart Zender (of Jamiroquai fame) filter/drive pedal, the Origin 300w compact bass head, Origin DI, updates to the Toubus practice amp and a new 4x10" cab for the hugely popular Rootmaster range.
