After the huge success of its original incarnation, the custom shop designed Fender Classic Player Baja 60s Telecaster takes the best-selling model and adds some 1960s features and vibes.
With the best of old and new in mind and using years of experience, former Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Chris Fleming has redesigned the original Fender Baja Telecaster and upgraded it into this Baja 60s iteration.
The body is made of alder and has a thin polyester finish. It hosts a 3-saddle American Vintage strings-through-body tele bridge with chrome barrel saddles. This 60s inspired model has a maple neck that has a comfortable '60s "C" shape neck profile and a Pau Ferro fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets.
Pickups come courtesy of a single coil American Vintage 52 Tele at the neck and 58 Tele at the bridge). These are wired through a 4 way switch, which when used in conjunction with the on-board S1 switch, offer a vast array of possible tones previously unavailable to the Telecaster player. Offering series, parallel, in and out-of-phase selections, the Classic Player Fender Baja 60s Telecaster is an extremely capable and versatile instrument.
To complete the package, every Fender 60s Baja Tele comes complete with a Fender Deluxe padded gig bag.
