  Take it away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music.

  Loans are available over 9 months for loans between £100 and £2,000 (subject to a minimum spend of £120) or 18 months for loans between £800 - £5,000) with a minimum 10% deposit payable on the day.

  
  How old do I have to be to apply?
  Either aged between 18 and 25 years old

  Or if you are over 18 and applying for a person who is under 18 years old (instore only) 

  What can I buy with the Take it Away Scheme?
  The scheme will allow customers to apply for a loan of upto £5,000 for musical instruments such as guitars, drums, cymbals, violins, wind instruments, pianos, keyboards etc plus any accessories needed.

  Although you cannot buy amplifiers or PA systems and the like on their own with Take it Away, you can include equipment and services such as amplifiers and PA systems, music stands, sheet music and tuition as part of your loan as long as it includes a playable instrument.

  How do I apply?

  You can apply in person or online.

  In-store
  Come into our store and choose your instrument and accessories
  We ask you a few questions about yourself and enter the details into our system for authorisation
  if successful, we complete the agreement and take your deposit
  You take your new instrument home!

  Online
  Use the finance calculator to see what finance options are available. You can find the calculator on each product page eligible for finance and on the checkout pages.
  Enter the checkout process as normal and select Take it Away as your credit option.
  Simply complete the online form and receive a totally automated answer and usually an instant decision. If accepted, you can pay your deposit and even sign your agreement online!
  What information do I need to know to apply?
  As well as the standard information about the applicant, we will need to know the following:

  Your bank account number and sort code to set up the direct debit
  Previous address including post code if you have lived in your current address for less than 3 years
  if you are employed, your employers address including post code and phone number
  Can I use take it away to buy something that costs more than the maximum loan amount?
  Yes. You can use Take it Away as a part payment and just pay the difference. Remember, you can even part exchange your old equipment!

  What deposit do I need to pay?
  You need to pay a minimum of a 10% deposit. You can pay a larger deposit if you wish as long as the amount you borrow is between £100 and £2,000 for the 9 month option or between £800 and £5,000 for the 18 month option.

  What payment methods can I use for the deposit?
  You can use Cash, Credit or Debit cards and even Part Exchange.
