A true cult favourite from the 'alternative' ranks. This Fender Mustang is the latest iteration of the classic 'underground' champion!
Originally launched in 1964, the Fender Mustang has always brought something unique to the Fender range. As used by many bands, including Nirvana and The 1975, the Mustang sure to appeal to those that want to buck the trend and standout from the crowd.
Staying true to its roots, this iteration features the classic downsized Mustang body paired with a 24" short scale neck. The neck itself is constructed of maple, carved into a highly playable C shaped profile, and is topped with a 9.5" radius maple fingerboard set with 22 medium jumbo frets.
Rocking a pair angled single-coil pickups, the Mustang is a tonally versatile whilst still maintaining that authentic Fender tone. The pickups have a vintage style low output that deliver thick lows, punchy mids and chiming upper harmonics - great for cutting through the mix! The pickups are wired through master volume and tone controls, along with a three-way pickup selector.
Other appointments include a six saddle string-through-body hardtail Strat bridge that not only increases sustain but also adds some additional zing and upper harmonics.
