This Fender Road Worn 50s Stratocaster in 2 Tone Sunburst / Maple specification is part of Fender's popular Road Worn Series. For those players who dig the broken-in look and feel, it doesn't get much better than this authentic 50's Stratocaster. This guitar sounds, looks and feels like it's been a trusty workhorse for decades!
The key to the beaten up, cool appearance of this Strat is it's 2 Colour Sunburst Nitrocellulose finish. Just like original Fender instruments crafted in the 50's this guitar features a finish that has worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts. Like a fine wine this Strat will only improve and mature with age!
Not only does this Strat look the part but it ticks all the boxes for those traditionalist Fender fanatics. Players can expect the more narrow vintage style frets along with a ''50s-era "soft V" Maple neck and fingerboard. This fingerboard will make those who grew up with the 50's instruments feel right at home thanks to 7.25" radius with the old school neck curvature and a beautifully satin 'worn in' neck.
This Mexican made Road Worn Series Strat also delivers in the tonal arsenal too. Fender have opted for a set of three Tex Mex single coil pickups which have their own unique character while staying true to the traditions of the Strat tone we know and love. This set are over-wound for clear bass, sparkling highs and max output which is why they are ideal for both soaring clean tone, earthy Texas grit and almost everything in between.
