Ibanez RGIB6 Iron Label Baritone Electric Guitar in Black is a unique instrument with a longer 28" scale length and 6 strings that is design to be operate with thicker string gauges tuned down to a lower pitch than a standard guitar.
This model by Ibanez is part of their popular Iron Label RG Series which means it sports an aggressive Basswood double cutaway body and mean looking Cosmo Black hardware.
The RGIB6 comes with a Rosewood fingerboard which is beautifully bound and equipt with jumbo sized frets which suit the thicker strings and aid bending techniques. The fingerboard is then married to a Nitro Wizard neck which is known for its super thin feel, ultimate playability neck and road-tested durability.
A key upgrade for this model is a Gibraltar Standard II bridge designed specifically for baritone strings and tunings - string gauge as standard is .014/.018/.026/.044/.056/.068.
To capture those low frequencies while retaining the high clarity is a set of active EMG pickups. There is an EMG 60 in the neck position and a matching EMG 81 in the bridge which both feature ceramic magnets for maximum sensitivity.
Other key parts of the electronic set up include a killswitch which can be used to cut the signal for stutter effects, a standard 3 way P.U selector switch and a single volume knob.
