The Rickenbacker 330 is arguably Rickenbaker's most recognisable guitar. Featuring an iconic semi-acoustic design and classic styling, this is just what you need if you want some legendary Ricky looks and tone!
The 330 was first introduced in the 1950s and has been a mainstay within the Rickenbacker line ever since. Played by such legends such as John Lennon, George Harrison, Pete Townsend, Paul Weller and Jonny Marr to name but a few, the 330 is without doubt a true guitar icon.
Its maple body utilizes a semi-acoustic design with a 'twin crescent" double cutaway, giving players easy access all the way up the 24 fret fingerboard. The body is married to a maple neck that is topped with a rosewood fingerboard set with dot inlays.
Rickenbacker have loaded the 330 with a pair of high output single coil pickups. Similar to the original Toaster pickups, these new models have a hotter output more suitable to the modern day player's needs. The pickups are wired through their own Volume and Tone controls with an additional Blend control that acts as a tone blender between the two pickups, allowing for added tonal variety in addition to acting as a volume equaliser for the bass pickup making for a more balanced output in relation to the treble pickup.
