This special edition model of the Peavey 6505 1992 Original Guitar Amp Heads marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most famous guitar amps of all time.
Loaded with five 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6GC power amp tubes, the Peavey 6505 1992 is an all-valve powerhouse able to deliver 120w (RMS) is tube goodness!
The amp is a 2-channel affair, each with pre-gain and post-gain controls. Both channels share the 3-band EQ with master section hosting resonance and presence controls, giving access to a superb array of tones!
Over the years, the Peavey 6505 hasn't really changed that much, but after countless hours of comparisons, conversations and deep dives, Peavey realised some components had drifted, one in particular was the output transformer...resulting in a midrange that changed from amp to amp. Peavey decided to search for a solution. That led them to develop a top-secret output transformer, made in an undisclosed location to mimic the magical crushing tone of the original series.
Often imitated, competitors have gone to great lengths to duplicate our success, but none are closer to the original than these. Peavey is proud to reissue these legendary amplifiers, the 6505 series.
