One of the most highly regarded, and widely used guitar amplifiers, the Fender '65 Princeton Reverb is a truly iconic amplifier that needs little introduction to fans of classic, rich Fender tone.
Having been used to create countless hit songs over the years, the '65 Princeton Reverb is still as important an amp as ever before. With stylish looks, a phenominal tone and tried and tested reliability, it is looked upon as a staple part of countless guitarists' set ups.
Featuring 12 watts of pure valve power, the Princeton packs a big punch wherever it is used. Easily moved from studio to living room to stage, it is an endlessly flexible, versatile combo.
Allowing it to deliver its rich tone, the '65 Princeton Reverb is fitted with a Jensen 10" C10R speaker allwoing just the right amount of break-up when pushed hard.
As with all great Fender amps, the Princeton features valve driven tremolo. This classic effect is unmistakably 'Fender' and can be dialled in from a subtle wobble to a deep pulsating tone. In addition to the trem, the Princeton benefits from the inclusion of a valve driven, full tank spring reverb. Fender amps, such as this, are famed for their deep, lush, shimmering reverb and offer an instantly recognisable tone.
There is nothing quite like the pure, dynamic tone of a valve driven guitar amplifier. The Princeton is no exception. In the preamp, there are 3 x 12AX7 and 1 12AT7 valves whilst the power amp gets a pair of 6V6 tubes. Together, the valves give the Princeton its characteristic, sparkling clean tone, reminiscent of all great Blackface Fender amps.
