The Boss DD-3T Digital Delay is an updated version of the classic DD-3 mode, delivering enhanced functionality whilst retaining the original models layout and sound.
The Boss DD-3 has been the go-to delay for many guitarists the world over, being a pedalboard staple since its launch way back 1986. The DD-3T is the latest incarnation of this pedal and features tap tempo via the onboard switch (simply hold the pedal switch for 2 seconds to access) or use an external footswitch (connect via the new Tap Tempo socket).
Another update is the direct output jack. BOSS have moved this output jack next to the main output jack for easier connections. By plugging a cable into the direct out converts the main out to delay only, therefore allowing you to send wet/dry signals to different amps.
As with the previous model, the DD-3T allows for delay times from 12.5ms to 800ms perfect for a wide range of applications and with a pro sound designed to inspire.
Switchable delay time modes allow quick access to favourite settings and precise control over delay times. A feedback control determines the amount of repeats whilst a Level control adjusts the volume at which the repeats are heard. The Short Loop function, identical to the HOLD function of the previous model (it has just been renamed), allows you to capture up to 800ms of sound to play continuously and jam over.
The Boss DD-3T Digital Delay is, like all Boss pedals, built to withstand years of use. An all metal casing and heavy duty footswitch ensures it will stand up to even the most heavy footed guitarist, whilst a chunky rubber base means it wont slip out of place at the crucial moment.
The battery compartment is accessible via a front mounted thumb screw, whilst the rear of the pedal is host to a 9V socket, allowing the DD-3T to be powered by a Boss PSA adaptor (sold separately).
