The Martin D-35 from the Standard Series is a truly iconic acoustic guitar, seen in the hands legendary players such as Johnny Cash, Elvis and David Gilmour to name but a few.
The D-35 is a dreadnought acoustic and features the timeless tone wood combination of a Sitka spruce top paired with rosewood for the back and sides, The back of the Martin D-35 is one of its most distinctive features, with its 3-piece design. The Antique White body binding, Tortoise pattern pickguard and multi-stripe rosette give the guitar a classy, yet understated aesthetic. The updated Sitka spruce Golden Era (GE) top bracing, offers a more vintage, breathy tone with enhanced sustain.
The body is married to a select hardwood neck with GE modified low oval neck profile which maintains its popular shape but is optimised for vintage appeal with minimal increase in total mass. The neck is topped with a bound ebony fingerboard which is set with 20 frets and Mother-of-Pearl inlays.
Other playability enhancements include a thinner fingerboard with a gently bevelled comfort edge and refined string spacing at the nut, while the new GE modern belly bridge features smoother, more comfortable corners.
Other appointments include a bone nut, chrome enclosed gear tuning machine heads, and an included moulded hardshell case.
