Before dispatch, your instrument will be treated to a full setup. That's not a quick tweak, but a full multi-point setup by an experienced guitar technician who will check and adjust every single thing on your guitar, bass, ukulele or banjo to ensure it is performing at its absolute best.
This is not a quick process but we believe every instrument should go through our process to acheive an exacting standard of playability.
Fender Shawbucker: Got these for an old 1984 Fender Flame (nice guitar let down by its electrics but loathed to ditch childhood gift) which originally had muddy characterless humbuckers with glued-in mounts. Gig Gear were genius in converting to proper pickup rings and I initially went with top of the range Seymour Duncans. These were excellent but seemed a bit ill matched, PAF-style, designed for Gibsons. Recently available aftermarket Shawbuckers are just perfect - humbuckers for Fender’s maple and alder tone woods. Now it sounds like a good HH strat but with Gibson scale-length playability (guitar has similar hollowed-out construction and shape to 1990s Gibson ES 336).
Glad to hear you're enjoying it!
