The Martin D-X2E Brazilian Rosewood is a dreadnought sized, solid-top, electro acoustic from the remastered X-Series. Featuring a selection of enhancements over the previous generation X-Series models, this D-X2E guitar delivers improved playability, Martin's E-1 electronics and comes complete with a Martin softshell case.
The D-X2E Brazilian Rosewood features the iconic dreadnought shaped body constructed from a hand rubbed solid sitka spruce top paired with an eye-catching Brazilian Rosewood pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) for the back and sides, for added durability and looks without sacrificing that classic Martin tone. A new updated modernised bridge contour has also made its way on to this remastered model - for a smooth and comfortable playing experience.
Joined to the body via the a mortise and tenon neck joint is a select hardwood, hand rubbed neck, carved into a great feeling Performing Artist profile neck shape. The neck is topped with a fingerboard set with 20 frets and faux Abalone pattern dot inlays. New for this remastered model is thinner fingerboard with a gently bevelled comfort edge and refined string spacing for great playing comfort.
The Martin D-X2E Brazilian Rosewood model comes equipped with Martin's E-1 electronics system which features a built-in chromatic tuner, and volume, tone, and phase controls, letting you plug in and play at any volume.
