We also can help prepare you for the Musical Aptitude Test with one of our music theory teachers.
Our music lessons are on a one-to-one basis so you'll get the full attention of one our professional teachers - helping you to learn what you need faster and more efficiently - all in our relaxed, welcoming environment.

Darren studied at the Institute of contemporary music in London before going on to play, session and write for many bands and solo artists. He specialises in both contemporary and older guitar based genres such as blues, funk, rock, alternative and many acoustic styles. Darren is extremely experienced in computer music software and its use as both a studio and learning tool, something which he is more than happy to build into his lessons if desired. Lessons are always tailored to the individual to ensure fast progress in the areas most important to you.
James started experimenting with music from the age of 2, and by 7 he was taking regular piano lessons. At 13 he developed a love for the guitar and was soon writing and recording his own material. James has since earned a Music Diploma at Harlow College, toured large festivals across Europe, written and recorded two albums and is a regular on the local music scene. His main styles of interest are rock, blues, jazz, and is inspired by artists including John Mayer, James Taylor and Jackson Browne.
Maria is an experienced piano teacher who was born in Latvia into a family of musicians. Maria started playing the piano at the age of five and attended the secondary school of music. In 1996 she graduated from The Latvian College of Music Studies. Maria has worked in numerous vocal studios and is an experienced composer.
Paul started playing guitar at the age of ten and went on to study at Harlow College for a music diploma. He has since played many corporate functions and appeared on national television. Paul has also worked as full time as a freelance producer, producing backing tracks for a karaoke firm and done session work, including several platinum selling albums in Spain. Over the years Paul has successfully taught guitar to students of a wide range of ages and abilities, individually and in small groups.
Jordan has played in many bands and session roles for theatres, bands, TV studios, and has played on sold out tours, as well as engineering and writing with professional songwriters in recording sessions. He has also studied at The Institute of Contemporary music. Jordan has had a lots of teaching experience with students of all ages, abilities and styles and designs lessons around you to improve your playing and musical knowledge.
Steve is a professional musician and has been playing guitar for over 25 years. Initially making a name for himself on the UK Metal Scene, Steve now regularly performs both nationally and internationally in many musical groups, spanning genres from 50’s rock ‘n’ roll to the present. Steve is also a session musician, performing on numerous albums and on two film scores with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Steve became a RGT registered tutor in 2007, teaches all popular styles and has a 100% success rate with all his students who have taken grades.
Kate is a professional musician with over twenty years of playing, recording and teaching experience. She studied at Leeds College of Music, earning a Grad Dip in Jazz, Contemporary and Popular Music. After graduating, Kate taught for 8 years for Essex Music Services, in addition to teaching students privately, she has also recently gained a level three Award in Education and Training from Turnford College. Friendly, personable and passionate about music, Kate inspires people to play, ensuring students develop a good musical foundation in a fun and informative way.
Craig began playing drums when he was 12 years old and achieved a grade 8 distinction by the age of 16. He has played in several professional bands throughout the years and has recently recorded with electronic rock band Lupa at The Foundry Studios in Sheffield. Craig has played at Sound City festival, Tramlines festival and has many other live and recording credits to his name. Craig teaches with a patient and friendly approach and welcomes all ages and abilities. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs to help them reach their maximum potential.
Ben started playing the drums aged 10. Graduating from a music academy, Ben has now taught drums for over 17 years and can help you learn styles or follow the RockSchool or Trinity syllabuses.
