Learn to play with GigGear Music Tuition

We offer music lessons on guitar, piano, drums, bass, ukulele and banjo, and cater for all ages and abilities. Our lessons are held at our Musical Instrument Superstore - based in Harlow, Essex, which is open 7 days a week. 

Our music lessons are on a one-to-one basis so you'll get the full attention of one our professional teachers - helping you to learn what you need faster and more efficiently - all in our relaxed, welcoming environment. 

Music Lesson Details

  • 1/2 hour or full hour lessons in Guitar, Piano, Keyboards, Bass, Drums, Vocals and Ukulele
  • £16 per 1/2 hour / £32 per full hour lesson
  • Lessons are paid for in advance, four at a time
  • Music Teachers delivering music lessons for all ages and abilities
  • Study for Associated Board, Rock School or Trinity grades or just learn for fun!

Tom Gentry - Guitar, Piano, Bass, Ukuele and Banjo Teacher

Tom studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music and has since gained extensive recording and live experience, not just within the UK, but the world over through various tours and session work. Highlights include recording at London's famous Abbey Road Studios and playing to 20,000 people at the 02 arena. He has many years teaching experience and tailors each lesson to the individual goals and needs of the student, as well as covering all popular exam grades of all levels. 

Danny Bage - Piano Teacher and Vocal Coach

Danny graduated from Mountview Theatre School in London with a Masters Degree in Musical Theatre. He teaches both piano and singing and has over twelve years experience in the industry. Danny works as a freelance rehearsal pianist and solo performer, regularly playing for weddings and functions all over the country. He has been the musical director for several stage schools including Stagecoach, Jigsaw, Bodens and KSA Conservatoire in Kent, has appeared in numerous stage shows and worked on TV.


Marija Cermaka  - Piano Teacher

Maria is an experienced piano teacher who was born in Latvia into a family of musicians. Maria started playing the piano at the age of five and attended the secondary school of music. In 1996 she graduated from The Latvian College of Music Studies. Maria has worked in numerous vocal studios and is an experienced composer.



Paul Furnace - Guitar Teacher

Paul started playing guitar at the age of ten and went on to study at Harlow College for a music diploma. He has since played many corporate functions and appeared on national television. Paul has also worked as full time as a freelance producer, producing backing tracks for a karaoke firm and done session work, including several platinum selling albums in Spain. Over the years Paul has successfully taught guitar to students of a wide range of ages and abilities, individually and in small groups.

Rebecca Robinson - Drum Teacher

Rebecca has played the drums for eight years, and fulfills her passion as a professional session musician and tutor. Rebecca quickly became inspired to learn the drum kit as the result of some excellent tutoring. She has since graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received a mark of distinction in her drum examination grades. Rebecca regularly performs with several professional acts all over the UK, including at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2015, and offers all of her knowledge and energy into her teaching. 


Steve Wallace – Guitar Teacher

Steve has been playing Guitar for over 18 years, picking up a BTEC National Diploma in Contemporary Popular Music and passing with Merit for Rockschool Grade 8. He plays guitars and drums on the live circuit and has worked in the studio with legendary producer Pete ‘Pee Wee’ Coleman (AC/DC, Tears for Fears, Napalm Death). Steve is an RGT Registered Tutor and has achieved a 100% pass rate with all his students that have taken grades.

Chris Woollams - Drum Teacher

Chris has been playing drums for over 15 years and teaching for the past 7 years. He has studied with some of the best drum teachers in the UK which has gained him a distinction in Grade 8 and a Higher Diploma from the ICMP in London where he was awarded best drummer of the year. Taking his studies further with Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, he gained a Specialist Certificate. He has completed a level 4 Rock school teaching diploma and achieving a 100% pass rate with his graded students. Chris continues to teach and play at a very high standard with his band King Canute. Previous bands include playing drums for Fearless Vampire Killers and Cypher16 touring the UK, Europe, America and India.

Charlie Dixon - Drum Teacher

Charlie started playing drums at the age of six and in the seventeen years since has played in an array of different bands. He has recorded in the famous Studio 2 of Abbey Road Studios and has several years of teaching experience. He is competent in a range of different styles and has an extensive arsenal of chops and licks to pass on to any up and coming drummers.
