Obviously now wearing its new 100-watt belt, this amp has a few features to boast about.

The MOSFET preamp. These interesting things create distortion characteristics that are somewhat similar to how a vacuum valve/tube distorts, all while being incredibly quiet during operation. Delivering an amp with the natural sound and feel that we all know and love.

Pairing that with Blackstar's patented ISF control, the tones are unmatched at this price point. 

The amp features two switchable channels: Clean and Overdrive, a 3-band EQ section, Blackstar's patented ISF filter, and two selectable reverbs: Plate and Hall.

But remember, this amp is built for pedals and simplicity! There's not much else needed when it comes to controls and settings. 

Furthermore, we like that you have a choice as to how many speakers you want, and speaking of choices, this amp comes in black or cream.

Is 100 watts too loud?

The lovely people at Blackstar have included a power reduction switch that reduces the mighty 100 watts to a very usable 5 watts. So no fear of annoying the neighbors! Unless required, then it's just one switch away.

Lastly, if you ever wanted to jam to a track, theres a nice and convenient line in.
