Spreading these new models across various ranges Ibanez have seriously impressed in every department, whether its looks, sound, build quality or features, Ibanez have really nailed it this year. First off we have two additions from the RG range! The Ibanez RG421M in Weathered Black and an Ibanez RG370AHMZ in Blue Moon Burst.
The Ibanez RG421M is a guitar that has adopted the classic deep double cutaway body shape that Ibanez fans know and love as well as a weathered black finish that is sure to be popular with the Metal community! It is simplistic in its layout with a 'stripped down' feel courtesy of just a single tone and volume knob and a three way switch to control its powerful Dual Quantum Humbuckers.
Other key features on this model include a fixed bridge and a set of stylish cosmo black tuning machine heads, both providing excellent stability and tuning to rival that of the much higher end, premium Ibanez models.
This is a guitar that will work in the favour of players who prefer the feel and brighter overtones of a Maple neck as the new 2017 RG421M comes with a Wizard III Maple neck. With excellent fret access and the fast playing feel of a Maple fretboard this really is a guitar for those who love to perform regular fretboard acrobatics.
Next up is the RG370AHMZ in Blue moon Burst. This instrument shares many of the same features as the RG421M such as the deep double cutaway body, simplistic control layout and fast playing Wizard III Maple neck, however it does have many extra stand out features for a more in your face look, more tonal versatility and dynamic options.
Players will benefit from an additional Quantum single coil in the middle position with more tonal options being available to them. As a result of this upgrade a 5-way switch has also been added to extend the range of this versatile instrument.
On top of the stunning, stand out Blue Moon Burst finish the next feature that is a real game changer is the RG370AHMZ's Edge-Zero II tremolo bridge. A great addition for those who want stable tuning and smooth playing from their trem arms.
The next new additions come from the popular S and SA range and go by the names SA360 and the S621QM. The first thing you will notice is the superb quilted finishes and subtle attention to detail that has always given these hugely popular ranges that edge over the competition.
The SA360 really is as beautiful to play as it is to look at! With its amazing Walnut finish, Abalone body binding and Bound dot inlay rosewood fingerboard, this guitar has a real touch of class.
Its not just visually that the SA360 excels either, this model boasts an impressive selection of tones via two Quantum single-coil pickups at the neck and middle positions and a coil-tapped True-Duo Bucker at the bridge controlled by a 5 way switch and a push/pull knob. Throw the chrome synchronized tremolo into the mix and you have one versatile, musical guitar that would suit a large variety of players.
The S621M sports a similar body shape to its SA relative but with a beautiful, eye catching dragon eye burst minus the binding. This model has a few alternative features such as a reliable hardtail fixed bridge, double Humbucker configuration for enhance bass and boosted mids, ultra thin Wizard III neck and fast 24 jumbo-fret rosewood fingerboard. If you play rock or heavy styles you will love the overall playability and character of this guitar.
The next exciting additions are coming straight from the Ibanez Road Core Series. Meet the Ibanez RC220! This model will be available in both Red and Orange and is a guitar that will instantly make you stand out from the rest on stage.
Although youthful in their design these Road Core guitars really give off a retro vibe with a simplistic, no nonsense punk specification.
