Remo Vintage Ambassador
The new Remo Vintage A Ambassador heads offer a slightly fatter sound than the regular Ambassadors with a pleasant low mid bump and smooth decay.
The new Remo Vintage A Ambassador heads offer a slightly fatter sound than the regular Ambassadors with a pleasant low mid bump and smooth decay.
Featuring two plies of polyester film (7.5mil and 3mil), they are very slightly thicker than a regular 10mil Ambassador. The Vintage Ambassador heads have the response of a regular single ply drum head with a softer feel and a warmer sound along with added durability.
They can used as a batter head on both toms and snare drums and are suited to a wide variety of musical applications from classic rock and roll to blues to funk. The white coating adds a little warmth to the sound and helps to keep the overtones controlled.
They deliver a fatter sound than a regular Remo Ambassador but still offering the same sensitivity for quieter playing – the response when used on a snare when using brushes is absolutely fantastic. Using the Vintage A as tom batter head will give you a rounder and warmer sound than if you were to use a regular Remo Ambassador and more sensitivity than the Remo two ply Emperor head.
