Shergold Guitars
After an absence of over 25 years the legendary Shergold Guitars name is back, and better than ever!
During late 1970s and early 1980s Shergold Guitars were once a household name, being donned by legendary artists such as Genesis, New Order and Joy Division. These guitars and basses were once icons of an era but eventually cut production to custom orders only from 1982 to 1990 until a short lived, failed revival in the early 90's saw the brand disappear from the guitar scene altogether.
Now, with the backing of original distributors Barnes and Mullins, Veteran guitar builder and enthusiast Patrick James Eggle has pioneered a new era of the Shergold name that takes the hertitage and character of a once elitist brand and provides an all new range that is ready for the musicians of the 21st century.
These stunning all new models are skilfully handmade in the Shergold workshop in Indonesia before each and every guitar is then setup and checked over by Patrick and his highly qualified pro team prior to leaving the Shergold headquarters in the UK. OK, so here are the key specs you need to know!
There will be three models available, all three of which come in 4 colour choices - Thru-Cherry, Thru-Black, Thru-Dirty Blonde, Solid Battleship Grey.
Some key features that each of the models share are a unique bolt on solid Rosewood neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, an enamel Shergold shield logo, PJE design Shergold Custom T bridge with compensated brass saddles, staggered height locking machine heads in chrome with black buttons and have an optional Shergold gigbag.
