The Epiphone left handed Les Paul Standard 50s is part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection. It pays tribute to a golden era for the iconic guitar, delivering timeless appeal, classic feel and legendary tone.
The guitar utilizes the classic tonewood partnership of a solid mahogany body topped with a carved maple top. This timeless combination allows the guitar to deliver a rich full tone with plenty of sustain, the essence of a classic Les Paul sound.
Married to the body, via a set, long tenon joint, is a mahogany neck, shaped into a rounded '59 medium C profile and topped with 12" radius fingerboard. Trapezoid inlays, 22 medium jumbo frets and 1.693" (43.05mm) nut width complete the traditional look and feel.
Epiphone have fitted the Les Paul Standard 50s model with a pair of humbuckers in the form of a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a ProBucker 3 at the bridge. The pickups are wired through the traditional 3-way pickup selector, 4 knob configuration (2 x volume and 2 x tone). Combined, this classic electronic setup gives you access to those vintage era 50s Les Paul tones with plenty of warmth, clarity and sustain, excelling whether played clean, in a bluesy crunch setup or when pushed heavier into rock territory.
Other appointments include a LockTone ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, Epiphone Vintage Deluxe 18:1 ratio machine heads and a Graph Tech nut.
